There is so much information available about what to eat, how to eat it and numerous diets to follow but the best way you can support your body is to find out what works for you. We are all different and the needs of our bodies change during our lifespan. A Nutritionist will take a complete medical history and spend time with you to understand how your body systems work and prepare a holistic dietary and lifestyle plan just for you.

Emma is a wonderful addition to our team and loves the fact that she can go to work and make a difference to someone’s life.
She loves to help others, give back and empower people to make positive changes as well as improve their symptoms, functionality and overall health.
Emma enjoys creating a supportive and empathetic space for people to heal and enjoys hearing client’s stories and experiences and finding out what they are passionate about. She aims to make everyone feel that they are heard, acknowledged and supported by their treatment process and believes that Osteopathy is so much more than hands on treatment.
Her favourite way to exercise is by being outdoors either walking, swimming in the ocean, running or bike riding and she loves to meditate and bushwalk. In her spare time she loves to walk on the beach with her dogs and loves to garden, cook and enjoy a good coffee!

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens prior to and during the Initial Consultation?
When you book an initial consultation you will be sent a Welcome pack by our Nutritionist. The pack includes a questionnaire and food diary for you to complete prior to your visit. This consultation will take 1.5 hours and is an information gathering session.
What is a subsequent consultation?
This appointment will take place approximately two weeks after your initial consultation and the Nutritionist will provide you with your unique dietary and lifestyle plan.
How many times will I need to see the Nutritionist?
This will depend on your reason for seeing the Nutritionist, for example if following a weight loss program you may want to see the Nutritionist every three weeks. If it is for general health you may only require three or four visits. Talk to the Nutritionist about your plan.
What is a short consultation?
Ideal for clients who want to check in with the Nutritionist to discuss their progress and have already had the initial and subsequent consultations.
Will I need to buy health supplements?
Our Nutritionist will only recommend a nutritional supplement if you need it and it will depend on your case history and existing health conditions. The supplements will be additional to the cost of the consultation.
Will I receive a Health Fund Rebate?
Some health funds offer rebates and it is dependent on the type of cover you have. Currently the following finds provide a rebate for Nutrition – AHM, Australian Unity, GU Health, Medibank Private and Teachers Union.
Please contact your provider if you require more information before your first visit.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to claim your health fund rebate at the time of your treatment with HICAPS. We will provide you with a receipt to provide to your health fund to claim.
